The short version
QuizSort, operated by Amulet Laboratories, is reader-supported. Some of the product links on this site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Where the affiliate links are
Almost all of them are on quiz result pages. When a quiz sorts you into a character or an outcome, the recommendations shown alongside that result are typically affiliate links. Product cards carrying price information are affiliate links, and they are marked as sponsored in the underlying page markup.
Links between QuizSort and the other sites we operate are not affiliate links. Those are simply our own sites.
What commissions do not influence
Quiz scoring is fixed before any product is attached to it. Which character or outcome you get is determined entirely by your answers and the quiz's published scoring rules — no result is weighted toward the outcome with the more profitable recommendation, and commission rates play no part in how a quiz is written.
We would rather tell you this plainly than have you wonder about it. A quiz that sorted you toward whatever paid best would not be worth taking, and it is the one thing that would make this entire site pointless.
How recommendations are chosen
Products are matched to results by subject matter — a character's franchise, or an outcome's theme. Where more than one retailer carries an item, we may link to whichever program pays the higher commission. That choice affects which storefront you land on; it does not affect which products get recommended in the first place, and it never changes your price.
Some recommended items are not sold by our affiliate partners at all. We link to those anyway when they are the right recommendation, and we earn nothing when you buy them.
Our partners
We participate in the Amazon Associates Program and in affiliate programs run by a number of other retailers. These partnerships are what fund the site, and they are the reason every quiz here is free and requires no account.
